Description: iGen Operator needed for new North Jersey Manufacturing Facility!
Hours: Midnight (12:00am) - 8:00 am, OT available.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY OF POSITION:
The Digital Production Operator is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining Xerox iGen3, iGen4 and other digital presses and for completing press projects according to job specifications and company quality standards. Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on presses to ensure optimum output. Works closely with staff members to exceed customer satisfaction and service expectations. Observes and ensures safety and security procedures, making sure that all equipment and materials are used properly, and reports potentially unsafe conditions. Reports to Digital Production Supervisor.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Uses delegated authority and judgment to achieve the following on a consistent basis (should be handled independently, but Digital Production Operator should seek input from Digital Production Supervisor as appropriate):
? Make the appropriate and productive job setting choices at the workstation and color server.
? Ensure required resources are available in order to complete job (media, fonts, graphics, etc.)
? Perform basic maintenance.
? Calibrate stocks required for an upcoming daily workload.
? Print press proofs for sign-off and run without re-ripping the job.
? Evaluate output and make adjustments to obtain a desired level of image quality.
? Respond appropriately to fault, error, and alert messages.
? Contact and interface with the Xerox IGen3 & other press Customer Support Center as necessary.
? Perform iGen3 & other press cleaning, replenishing of consumables, replacing of filters & bottles and waste of containers.
? Monitor and report environmental changes that may impact equipment performance (humidity and temperature).
? Ensure proper paper handling, conditioning and loading.
? Make image quality and productivity recommendations to Press workflow.
? Assist personnel with print driver installation by demonstrating the appropriate procedure and locate the appropriate information and resources necessary to obtain updated drivers.
? Color Server file maintenance, and job tracking (press schedules).
? Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
? Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
DUTIES INCIDENT TO PERFORMANCE OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Coordinate with Production team to produce and prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
? Clean work area around machine.
? Record daily production.
MISCELLANEOUS OR OTHER DUTIES:
? Participates in other assigned duties as designated by the Digital Production Supervisor

? Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance, standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time and scheduled work breaks, where applicable.
