Recruiter: Interactive Media, Pre-media and Print Industries

National Staffing firm specializing in temporary and temp-to-hire placement seeks a Recruiter for its Long Beach, CA branch.

 Position Summary:

  • Seek out and qualify potential talent by utilizing job postings, reverse resume searches and other methods
  • Interview and select candidates for job placement based on client requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with prospective talent as well as talent on assignment
  • Manage applicant hiring, the assignment process and client follow-ups.
    Engage clients with inquiries regarding job opportunities, job orders and services offered; utilize multiple channels to place quality candidates
  • Effectively represent talent; respect them as a person and proactively take the lead on finding a job placement
  • Meet with companies to educate them on Semper’s portfolio of staffing services
  • Attend industry networking events
  • Maintain relationships with Semper’s clients


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communication or human resources preferred; or combination of education and related experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in a staffing/recruiting role
  • Experience/knowledge in the interactive media, pre-media and/or printing fields is desirable but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: can write professional business e-mails and letters and place 40+ phone calls daily
  • Outgoing, problem solving personality with skills in developing and maintaining client relationships/account management
  • Proficient in standard technological tools with the ability to learn new systems and proprietary software
  • Ability to understand business needs and weight tasks regarding recruiting and client retention/gathering
  • Love of networking and positioning company to show benefits; can successfully overcome sales objections.
